LANDAUER EUROPE’s Ring dosimetry service provides extremity radiation monitoring for workers required to manually manipulate or work in close proximity to radioactive materials and radiation producing equipment. LANDAUER EUROPE’s Ring measures exposure due to x-ray, beta, and gamma radiation using a Thermo Luminescent Dosemeter (TLD).

The Ring uses a lithium fluoride chip with no binder as its detector. This chip is encapsulated inside an identification cover, ensuring its watertightness. It can be worn in dry or wet working conditions and cold sterilised without risk of damage to the detector, by hydrogen peroxide in 10% ethanol.
This detector can be used for designated areas which must be controlled.

LANDAUER EUROPE’s Ring dosemeter measures radiation exposure due to x-ray, beta, and gamma radiation. It is insensitive to neutron radiation.
Energy and doses ranges
| Type of radiation | Energies detected |
Minimum exposure range |
Maximum exposure range |
| X-rays | 15 keV to 8 MeV | 0.30 mSV | 10 Sv |
| Gamma | 15 keV to 8 MeV | 0.30 mSV | 10 Sv |
